RCHS Athletes Recognized


Two Russell County High School student-athletes were among a group of high school football players who were honored at the 9th Annual Sportsvisions Columbus Valley Area High School Awards Luncheon on December 8 at the St. Luke Ministry Center. Je'dan Citizen received the Defense Award, and Corey Person received the Offense Award. University of Georgia Head Football Coach, Kirby Smart, was the guest speaker for the event​.

​Both students attended the luncheon accompanied by the head football coach, Dwight Jones. Congratulations to Je'dan and Corey, who are deserving students!​

Wow! RCHS is on the move . . .

 

  • November 17, 2016- Corina Ortiz received the 1st place award for the Farm City Essay Contest 
  • December 1, 2016- Ms. Bria Wimbish joined our staff as our Instructional Assistant.
  • December 2, 2016- Mr. Michael Kilpatrick traveled to Atlanta to receive the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award
  • December 5, 2016- RCHS received a $2500 Power to Play Grant from the Alabama Power Foundation.
  • December 5, 2016- Mr. Coley Cain received notification that he has been accepted to Medical School. His medical journey will begin in the summer/fall of 2017.

  • December 6, 2016- Soliel Murray competed against students from Central High School and Glendwood Academy at the Elite Cafe' for the Exchange Club of Phenix City Student of the Quarter award. We are proud to announce that Soliel is the Student of the Quarter and will be competing for Student of the Year. 
  • Our JV Girls' Basketball team is 4-1! Please continue to support all of our teams as they are improving each game.
